Kiyohiro NISHIKAWA

Dr. Nishikawa is an industry veteran.

He spent about 4 decades in Nippon Kayaku, a Japanese pharmaceutical company. There he held various senior positions in multiple departments such as Research Institute, Clinical Department, Business Department & Licensing Department as well as Intellectual Property Department.

Through his leadership of scientific expertise, basic researches, multi-regional clinical trials (domestic and overseas trials), he made significant contribution to company’s multiple drugs’ launch. Dr. Nishikawa also successfully closed multiple in- and out-license deals, one of which resulted in the first biosimilar product launched in Japan. During his time as head of the IP department, Dr. Nishikawa led the team to build an effective IP strategy and contributed to winning an IP dispute against another company.

Dr. Nishikawa received his Ph.D. degree from Tokyo University, Japan.
